The 24-year-old, whose full name is Márcio Gesteira da Silva, arrives from Ceará SC - where he scored five goals in the Ceará state championship. According to sources at next season's UEFA Cup contenders, a central defender is all that now remains in order for Paços de Ferreira coach José Mota to conclude his recruitment drive for the 2007/08 campaign. Brazilian midfielder Fernando Pilar and Cape Verde-born striker José Furtado both joined the northern Portuguese side in the last ten days.»
