Valletta beat league leaders Hibernians 2-1 this evening to blow the title chase wide open with five matches to go.
The result means Hibs are now just three points ahead of the Citizens.
Valletta made their intentions clear early in the match with Paulo Massaro putting them ahead within a quarter of an hour.
Soares equalised for Hibs on the 39th minute but Dyson Falzon put Valletta ahead again just before the break.
